Extended producer responsibility for packaging
Organisations that trade in the UK that supply or import packaging now need to comply with extended producer responsibility (EPR) for packaging. While the scheme does not start until October 2025, companies affected by EPR for packaging are being asked to start capturing their packaging data now.

Supplying explosives precursors and poisons
From 1 October 2023 businesses supplying regulated explosives precursors to a professional user or business will need to take additional steps to verify the legitimacy of the buyer.
When conducting a sale of explosive precursors or poison, the seller will need to gather specific details including the business customer’s name and address, a form of photo ID, a statement of the nature of the business customer’s trade, business or profession and the business customer’s VAT registration number.
