Are you a morning person or a night owl? Night owl for sure.
What's your favourite thing about your job / working at Intact? The main thing I like about my role is that it keeps me on my toes - the majority of tickets are unique due to the highly customisable nature of iQ, and I love getting my teeth stuck into a query. It's great that the team are always on hand to help out and share knowledge. Something I appreciate about Intact is that everyone will help out on a task if needed, no matter their level. I also really like the office space - it's bright, well laid out and allows for collaboration with colleagues.
If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go and why? Italy. I would spend every holiday there if I could. I love the food, wine, coffee, weather, culture, language and general expressiveness.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? Getting my beagle Lenny to be a bit more quiet. He’s a gas character, but he is LOUD!
What's the best concert or live performance you have ever attended? Bruce Springsteen in Hyde Park in 2012. Sir Paul McCartney joined him on stage for a couple of songs at the end, and their sound actually got switched off in the middle of Twist and Shout because they had played too late.
What's your go-to karaoke song? Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler. Bless anyone within hearing distance.
If you had a time machine, which era would you visit and why? I’d like to visit Ireland in the 1930s. I’m not much of a history buff, but I always enjoyed listening to my grandmother’s stories about life back then. I would not want to stay there though.
Best TV series you have ever watched? Parks and Recreation. I’ve gone back to it many times as it’s a great sitcom with a lot of heart.
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be? The Italian language. I’ve tried learning it a couple of times but I really haven’t put the required effort in.
What's the weirdest food you've ever eaten? Salt and vinegar crickets. I was under the impression that they were some sort of man-made creation, as they were packaged up in a brightly coloured little box, only to find out afterwards they were real.
Lastly, if you could swap lives for a day with any person past or present, who would it be? The Buddha. I would love to have a calmer mind.
