ECF have been in business for almost 40 years. They specialise in manufacturing bespoke kitchen, bedroom and bathroom products from their site in Rearsby, Leicestershire, in the UK.
The site consists of three manufacturing plants, three warehouses and two office buildings, including a Design and Marketing Suite. The company’s USP is being a family-owned business that guarantees a unique reliable product, attention to detail and great customer service.
Before Using Intact
At the outset ECF stressed that the new system would need to have the flexibility and scalability to grow with their business. They didn’t want to invest in another stop-gap purchase that might only last two or three years before they out-grew the software again. Any new software needed to be future-proofed for the long-term and Intact iQ could easily satisfy those needs.
The customisable nature of Intact iQ also means that as the business changes and adapts ECF can make required changes to the software with ease. For example, adding new products for their made to measure range of doors and pushing them live for their users to enter on the system is now easily managed in-house. They have also significantly enhanced business operations by introducing real-time workflows, tailored alerts, user driven control desks, dashboards and scheduled reporting.

Pain points
- ECF previously used OGL software which they found restrictive.
- The software was only ever updated if the entire user base needed updates. The nature of the bespoke product they manufacture requires flexible validation and sizing requirements which the system didn’t have.

The codeless customisation of Intact iQ allowed ECF to easily add the bespoke elements they required. Using the agility configurator they were able to tailor the software to their needs to ensure it incorporated the bespoke costing, pricing and dimensional aspects of their product range.
